All favours of Toblerone

He brought a box of Toblerone. Is a 5 favours of chocolate, but my favourite is still the milky favour. Whole box is gonna eaten by me le..lol..How did the name of Toblerone form? Hehehe.. is Tobler + Torrone = Toblerone. The name "TOBLERONE", which resulted from merging the name of the company, Tobler, with the Italian nougat speciality, "Torrone", is today familiar in every language in the world.

How it begin??

In 1867, Jean Tobler opens his first store, the "Confiserie Spéciale", in the Länggass quarter in Bern/Switzerland.1899,Demand for Tobler's chocolate products rises to the point that Jean Tobler opens his own chocolate factory. Together with his sons, he founds the "Fabrique de Chocolat Berne, Tobler & Cie." In 1908,TOBLERONE is born: Theodor Tobler (Jean Tobler's son) and Emil Baumann (production manager and Tobler's cousin), develop a unique chocolate: TOBLERONE! Thereafter, TOBLERONE, with its special recipe, triangular shape and unmistakable TOBLERONE logo, becomes the Swiss chocolate par excellence. "TOBLERONE" is a word play upon the names "Tobler" and "Torrone," the Italian word for honey-almond nougat. In 1909, The TOBLERONE brand is registered with the Federal Institute for Intellectual Property in Bern, and shortly thereafter TOBLERONE becomes the first patented milk chocolate with almonds and honey. The physicist Albert Einstein, barely thirty years old, is employed at the Institute. A few years later, he will become famous for his theory of relativity. In 1920,The eagle is removed from TOBLERONE's packaging. In its place is added the bear, Bern's heraldic animal. In 1930,The eagle returns to the packaging, this time with a flag carrying the Tobler "T." At that time, products were not permitted to display Swiss national symbols while today TOBLERONE itself epitomizes Switzerland. In 1969,TOBLERONE now becomes available also as semi-sweet Dark TOBLERONE. In 1970,The TOBLERONE name takes up all the space on the packaging. The end panels show an image of the Matterhorn. In 1973, White TOBLERONE is introduced to the Swiss market. In 1987,The blue and white Tobler logo appears on the packaging in addition to the TOBLERONE name.In 1995, TOBLERONE Minis (12,5 g) come onto the market. In 1996, The first filled TOBLERONE - Blue TOBLERONE - is introduced. In 1997,TOBLERONE Pralinés are the success of the year. In 1998, To take advantage of the success of Toblerone Blue, Mini Blue are brought onto the market. In 2000, A smooth redesign takes place. The blue and white Tobler logo disappears and instead of it, the Matterhorn is shown on the packaging design. On the Matterhorn, there is something hidden. Can you see it?
